Retreat GRK 2948 Retreat 2025

Retreat of the GRK 2948 from 29.09 to 01.10.2025 in Rauenberg. Our program for this years retreat is varied and covers three interesting guest speakers, a presentation by the GRKino outreach project, the continuation of the symposium planning, and and a workshop about "The Art of Communication".

We kicked off day 1 of our annual retreat in 2025 with two excellent guest speakers, Serpil Tekoglu and Matthias T. Elm, sharing their expertise with our doctoral researchers. Xiuming Sun and Tobias Krebs further presented updates on their projects, giving us an insight into the exciting work happening across our research groups. The programme of day 1 was completed by an update by one of our four outreach teams, plannings for our upcoming International Symposium in 2026, and a lot of happy faces. 

We started day 2 with an excellent lecture by Máté Bezdek, followed by three talks from our doctoral researchers Fabio Quarti, Christian Delavier, and Richard Schömig, altogether sparking engaging scientific discussions throughout the day. We wrapped up day 2 with the first part of a communication workshop for our doctoral researchers — an interactive and energizing session.

We wrapped up day 3 with the second part of our communication workshop — a hands-on session that helped us reflect on how we see ourselves and others, both with and without “masks.”
